Terms & Conditions
The rules for using the DSMNRU PYQ academic archive, the services it provides, and your responsibilities when you contribute material.
Effective / Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, the Android app, or any related service ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Continued use after a change to these terms means you accept the updated terms.
2. Service Description
The Service is a student-run educational archive ("DSMNRU Academic Archive") that collects and shares previous year question papers (PYQs), related study materials and student tools for DSMNRU courses. It provides browsing, search, preview, an Android app, contributor submission, study tools and optional push notifications.
The Service is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by DSMNRU University. Papers are contributed by students and volunteers for educational use.
3. User Accounts
- An account (email/password or Google sign-in) lets you save papers, comment, request papers and sync your contribution points. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information and be old enough to use the Service under the laws that apply to you.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or compromise its operation.
4. User-Submitted Content
When you submit a paper or other material ("Content"), you remain the owner of it, and you are responsible for having the necessary rights and permission to share it. By submitting Content you grant the Service a non-exclusive right to store, display and distribute it for educational purposes within the Service.
Do not submit material you do not have the right to share — including material that infringes copyright, contains personal data you are not allowed to share, or that is confidential.
5. Upload Responsibilities
- Uploads must be the papers you intend to share (a single PDF, or images that are merged into a PDF). Files are limited in size and must not be malicious or executable.
- Submissions are held in a review queue and are only published after an administrator approves them.
- You must not upload spyware, malware, links to illegal copies, or files designed to harm other users or the Service.
- We do not claim ownership of uploaded papers; the uploader keeps their rights and responsibilities.
6. Copyright & Intellectual Property Responsibility
The DSMNRU PYQ archive does not claim ownership of the papers uploaded by users. Uploaders are responsible for ensuring they have the rights or permission to submit material. If you believe Content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us through the feedback options described in Section 17 with the specifics, and we will review the material promptly.
7. Prohibited Content & Use
- Submitting or linking to illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit material.
- Attempting to bypass login gates, security rules, rate limits or upload controls.
- Scraping the archive at abusive volumes, or using the Service to distribute spam.
- Impersonating other users, inflating view counts or gaming the points system.
- Using the Service for anything other than its educational purpose.
8. Content Moderation & Removal
Every submission passes through a review queue before publication. Administrators may reject, edit or remove Content at any time, for any reason, including copyright concerns, accuracy problems, duplicate material, or violations of these terms. Removal requests from rights holders are taken seriously.
9. PYQ Accuracy & Availability Disclaimer
Papers are student-contributed. We do not guarantee that a paper matches the official exam, that every subject is covered, or that any item will remain available indefinitely. Content can be corrected, replaced or removed. Always verify study material against official sources.
10. Academic Use Disclaimer
The archive is a study aid. Use of past papers is not a guarantee of exam performance, and the Service is not a substitute for coursework, official syllabus, or university guidance. Follow your institution's rules on the use of previous exam material.
11. Points / Rewards System
- Approved contributions can earn points (currently 10 points per approved upload), recorded against your email or account.
- Points are collected today; no redemption or payout is currently implemented. Future redemption features, if any, will be described when they launch.
- Points have no cash value, are non-transferable, may be adjusted to correct errors or abuse, and can be revoked if the related contribution is removed or found to violate these terms.
- We do not guarantee that a reward, gift, or redemption option will ever become available.
12. Account Suspension / Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts or access for violations of these terms, abusive behaviour, suspected fraud, or to protect the Service and its users. Where practical we attempt to warn before action; urgent security or legal matters may be handled immediately.
13. Third-Party Services & Links
The Service relies on third-party services (hosting, file storage such as gofile.io, Firebase, the Cloudflare Worker API, university/external links) and may contain links to external sites. We do not control those services or sites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply; we are not responsible for their content or availability.
14. Service Availability
We aim for the Service to be available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or discontinue parts of it — including scheduled maintenance, outages at third-party providers, or removal of content — at any time and without notice.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Contributions, tools and calculations (CGPA, attendance, planner) are provided without warranty of correctness.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project maintainers and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, exam results, points, or reliance on content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the "Last updated" date. Substantial changes will be highlighted where practical. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
18. Contact Information
Questions, feedback, removal requests and account issues can be raised through:
- The in-site Request PYQ / Report broken link forms (Feedback inbox),
